Led by the National Theatre, a group of the UK's top stages have joined together to release the following statement in relation to the recent allegations against former Royal Court artistic director and UK theatre director Max Stafford-Clark, and the ever-burgeoning controversy surrounding Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

It seems Max Stafford-Clark, who stepped down from Out of Joint earlier this autumn, did not do so just 'to focus on his international freelance career,' as previously reported. According to The Guardian, the former artistic director of the Royal Court Theatre was forced to leave after reports of 'inappropriate behavior' by a colleague.
