BWW Review: BLOOD BROTHERS, New Wimbledon Theatre


Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers remains one of only three shows to play for over 10,000 performances in the West End, bringing audiences to their feet night after night in the days when standing ovations were not always the default. A tale more than tinged with Greek tragedy, Russell’s examination of class, opportunity and poverty is given an injection of enthusiasm and vitality by an excellent cast in this touring production.

Fitz And The Tantrums & St. Paul And The Broken Bones To Co-Headline Alt 102.1 BIG FIELD DAY At The Meadow Event Park


Alt. 102.1 has announced that multi-platinum band Fitz and the Tantrums and St. Paul and the Broken Bones, will co-headline Big Field Day at The Meadow Event Park on Sunday, June 5th. The Seratones are set to support.  Tickets go on sale Friday, January 21, 2022, at 10:00 AM. A limited number of Early Bird General Admission tickets will be available for just $21 from January 21-27.

BLOOD BROTHERS Actor Steps In Mid-Show To Perform With No Rehearsal


Actor Shaun McCourt recently stepped in to cover the role of Mickey on the UK tour of Blood Brothers at no notice and with no rehearsal, after the understudy became ill. According to The Stage, the show's matinee at Derby Theatre was brought to a halt 35 minutes into the show, after Connor Bannister, who was playing Mickey at that performance, left the stage. Shaun McCourt, who understudies Eddie on the tour, was then asked to cover the performance with a script in hand.

This September, The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street at the corner of Elizabeth Street in NYC), the arts center of the Archdiocese of New York, launches its fall season with a dynamic line-up of film, live music, gallery exhibition, and talk events.
