This evening, at an event held at Battersea Arts Centre, The Royal Society of Literature (RSL), the charity that represents the voice of literature in the UK, announced 60 new appointments including the first induction of writers elected to Fellowship through the Bicentenary RSL Open Initiative. 

Having already confirmed the likes of The Receipts & Friends, 1Xtra's Richie Brave, poet Kayo Chingonyi, A Quick Ting On, the award-winning Letters To The Earth and much more; the Roundhouse's The Last Word Festival has announced the additions of George The Poet and Jaspreet Kaur to the Roundhouse Poetry Slam Final, happening Thursday 9th June 19:30pm.

TS Eliot Prize-winning poet Joelle Taylor will make a special guest appearance at the launch event of the annual anthology of new writing from the University of East London (UEL) creative writing students.

Irish Repertory Theatre will present Poetic Reflections: Words Upon the Window Pane, a series of films from the Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation (Amy Holmes, Executive Director), featuring poets and actors reading poems from Ireland, the United States and England.
