 The loudest night in country music kicked it up a notch as the biggest stars in the genre and beyond took on Nashville for the "2018 CMT Music Awards." In a night of firsts, Blake Shelton won his first-ever Video of the Year Award for "I'll Name The Dogs;" Little Big Town hosted for the first-time; and Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, Kelly Clarkson, Little BigTown, Sam Hunt and Backstreet Boys seized the moment to debut new music for the first-time anywhere. A slew of new artists walked away with their first buckles, including Dan + Shay (Duo Video of the Year), Carly Pearce(Breakthrough Video of the Year), Kane Brown (Collaborative Video of the Year with Lauren Alaina), Backstreet Boys (CMT Performance of the Year with Florida Georgia Line) and Ludacris (Female Video of the Year with Carrie Underwood). Carly Pearce and Kane Brown won the first awards  of their careers. Carrie Underwood's win for "Female Video of the Year" extends her record for most "CMT Music Awards" wins with a grand total of 18. 

With only two days to go before the big night, the "2018 CMT Music Awards" announced today the list of presenters featuring everyone from music industry icons to sports legends and Hollywood stars. Billboard Country Artist To Watch, Cherish Lee, debuted her album, Tequila Cowgirl, to a packed audience in Nashville on Thursday night. Nashville Country Club and Nashville Noise debuted songs from the album. Fans can listen to the music on Spotify and Apple Music and purchase it on iTunes or Amazon. Cherish was introduced onstage by actress and childhood friend, Kaitlin Doubleday, star of the show Nashville and Empire.

CMT Announces NASHVILLE Midseason Premiere on 6/7, Followed by Series-Ending Finale 7/26

Nashville has set the dates for its midseason return, as well as the series finale, according to Deadline. The show will return on June 7, and the finale is set for July 26. Watch the promo video below!

CMT today announced “Nashville” will return for a new season with 16 episodes premiering early next year. In addition, the network revealed a midseason premiere date of Thursday, June 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.  Charles Esten (Deacon) first announced the renewal on Facebook Live on behalf of the entire cast. In the coming weeks, CMT will announce its complete 2017-2018 slate.

AutFest, the first film festival solely dedicated to an autistic audience and filmmakers, today announced its official program selections for its first annual film festival celebrating autism awareness “from spectrum to screen.”

Just days after the news that a musical film remake of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is in the works, the show's original Off-Broadway and big screen star Ellen Greene will appear in the new horror comedy series 12 DEADLY DAYS, debuting on Monday, December 12, on Youtube Red.
