Sarasota Orchestra concludes several of its subscription series in the month of April with exceptional fanfare. The first weekend of the month begins with the long-awaited first Masterworks program of Bramwell Tovey's tenure as Music Director. In the subsequent weeks, the Orchestra offers a rousing conclusion to its Pops and Great Escapes series with programs showcasing the Great American Songbook and music depicting the Wild West. 

Sarasota Orchestra has announced the 2021 – 2022 season, featuring a return to full orchestra performances. With the safety of concert attendees a top priority, Sarasota Orchestra is looking forward to returning to the concert hall this fall.

A coast-to-coast lineup of rising stars and top students in the performing arts will gather online this month for a virtual holiday presentation hosted by Great American Songbook Foundation Founder Michael Feinstein. Twelve Songs of the Season: A Virtual Holiday Special will stream online at 8 p.m. ET Saturday, Dec. 19.

Some of the greatest works of music ever composed, performed by many of the world's finest soloists, will be part of Sarasota Orchestra's 2020 - 2021 season.

An unforgettable performance by Kristin Chenoweth topped a star-studded evening Saturday as the Center for the Performing Arts hosted its 6th Annual Songbook Celebration presented by Krieg DeVault. The gala in the elegant Palladium concert hall drew 550 attendees and raised over $600,000 to support the Center's artistic and educational programming. On Monday, August 14, Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Birdland was the place for an enormous variety of musical talent, with Caruso hosting, Billy Stritch accompanying on the eighty-eights, and the Cast Party Symphony Orchestra (Steve Doyle on bass and Daniel Glass on drums). 

One music legend came to hear another last night.  Clive Davis was in Michael Feinstein's opening night audience as the Ambassador of the Great American Songbook brought the show-stopping songs of Broadway to his second home… Feinstein's/54 Below.

Drama Desk Award-winning actress and singer Rachel York (Disaster!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Victor/Victoria) embarks on a 10-city concert tour from December, 2016 through April, 2017 beginning with Michael Feinstein's American Songbook at NJPAC! December 1. York joins Feinstein, Andrea McArdle, Jared Grimes, and Youth Songbook Ambassador Julia Goodwin at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark for a cabaret and Q&A featuring favorite American standards. The program will be filmed before a live audience for future broadcast on NJTV, WNET, and WLIW21.
