On Thursday, March 9 at 8:00pm ET, Apollo Chamber Players, led by Matthew J. Detrick, will return to Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall for a program celebrating the Houston-based ensemble's 15th season of multicultural programming and the conclusion of its 20x2020 commissioning project.

Emmy-winning composer Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate  is a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation in Oklahoma, and is dedicated to the development of American Indian classical composition, often incorporating tribal languages, stories, and dances into his works.

Apollo Chamber Players had released its sixth album, MoonStrike, on Azica Records. MoonStrike is a universal celebration of storytelling, space, and folk song, realized through new works by Jennifer Higdon, Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate, and Pierre Jalbert.

On Friday, June 24 at 8:30pm CT at Houston's Miller Theatre, Apollo Chamber Players will present a free concert titled MoonStrike, celebrating the Apollo space program and NASA through multicultural new music and art inspired by American Indian moon legends, Turkish folk music, and poetry.
