The Center for Popular Democracy, the nation's largest community organizing network, and Level Forward, the story-driven/impact-minded entertainment company, are bringing a variety of Broadway creative talent and energy to the unprecedented three day summit: TRANSFORMATION 2020: POPULAR DEMOCRACY DEFINED, to be held September 24-26.

Though final eligibility determinations have not yet been announced, word from industry insiders is that the cutoff will be February 19, 2020- meaning that two shows that opened before the Broadway shutdown will not be considered for nominations- Girl From the North Country and West Side Story. Signature Theatre opened the world premiere production of Katori Hall's HURT VILLAGE, directed by Patricia McGregor last night, February 27. HURT VILLAGE runs through March 18, 2012 and is the inaugural production in the The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Company's new home The Pershing Square Signature Center.
