This week, FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will soon present the Broadway Center Stage production of Meredith Willson's The Music Man. It will star Norm Lewis (Porgy and Bess) as Harold Hill and Tony Award®-winning actress Jessie Mueller (Waitress, Carousel, Beautiful) as Marian Paroo in the starry semi-staged concert production directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful, Broadway Center Stage: How to Succeed...) with choreography by Chris Bailey (Jerry Springer: The Opera, The New Yorkers at Encores!) and music direction by James Moore (Miss Saigon, the Kennedy Center's Follies and Ragtime).

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) celebrates the culmination of the 30th Anniversary Season with GALA 2017 on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Theater's home on Navy Pier, and offers attendees a first look at the Theater's dynamic new performance venue in-progress-The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare.

So what is this Waitress all about? That was the big question at yesterday's press preview for Sara Bareilles' highly anticipated new musical. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the festivities and below, you can check out interviews with the company, as well as  a performance preview from the cast!

The highly anticipated new musical Waitress, opens Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue), with previews starting on Friday, March 25, 2016. Waitress played a sold out limited engagement at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. The company just met the press today and below, watch as Jessie Mueller and Drew Gehling perform 'Bad Idea.'

Can't wait for Waitress? Neither can we. It's just weeks until Sara Bareilles new musical begins previews at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre and the company is hard at work to get the show ready for Broadway. We stopped by the rehearsal room earlier this week, where we caught Ogie's big song, 'I Love You Like a Table,' performed by Christopher Fitzgerald and Kimiko Glenn.

In a recent interview with Center on the Aisle, Tony winner Jessie Mueller discussed her appearance at Carnegie Hall this weekend, her role in the new WAITRESS musical, and, of course, the upcoming BEAUTIFUL film adaptation.

The first Broadway revival of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Wendy Wasserstein play The Heidi Chronicles officially opened last night, March 19, 2015, at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was on the red carpet to chat with the big guests before the curtain went up. Earlier this week, Drama Desk and Tony Award winner Laura Benanti ('The Sound of Music Live!', Gypsy, Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) hosted the 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street). Big winners for the night included Audra McDonald, Bryan Cranston, Jessie Mueller, and Neil Patrick Harris and Jefferson Mays- who tied for Outstanding Actor in a Musical.
