Violins of Hope is an internationally renowned collection of over 60 stringed instruments rescued from the Holocaust and restored by second-generation violinmaker, Amnon Weinstein, and his son, Avshalom in their shop in Tel Aviv. Last March, the collection was brought to Los Angeles for a month long series of concerts, exhibits and student educational programming, most of which were suspended in response to the then growing worldwide health crisis.  

Innovative and unique online programing continues through November at The Soraya with a month of performances and events that feature a lineup of some of today's finest performing artists.  Among the highlights include The Soraya's first collaboration with Southland Sessions: KCET and PBS SoCal—“A Tribute to Linda Ronstadt at The Soraya.”

The Los Angeles Philharmonic's Weimar Republic: Germany 1918-1933, through two wide-ranging and dramatic programs led by Conductor Laureate Esa-Pekka Salonen, explores the musical culture of Germany's politically charged Weimar era. These concerts are given context by Weimar Variations, a collection of ancillary events curated by Stephanie Barron and Nana Bahlmann.
