Rabbi David Baron announced that the Beverly Hills Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre will present a Pre-Passover Shared Heritage of Freedom Shabbat Service featuring Special Guests, the Apage International and Global Choir under the direction of Marianne Lewis and Sinan Kuzam, Consul General of Türkiye in Los Angeles.

The services will also be broadcast coast to coast via DIRECTV, Comcast, Spectrum and other video providers, as well as on the ARMED FORCES NETWORK, reaching 177 military bases and embassies globally. The broadcasts will also be webcast continuously throughout the days on September 18th and 19th on www.bhtota.org

Rabbi David Baron of the Beverly Hills Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre, 8440 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, CA 90211 announced today his Yom Kippur Eve (Kol Nidre) guests on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 will include: Ryan Deitsch, a survivor of the Parkland, FL massacre at Marjory Stoneman High School on February 14, 2018, who is a Student Activist Against Gun Violence, a leader of the March For Our Lives Demonstration in Washington, D.C. and an organizer of the #NeverAgain MSD Movement; Justin and Laura Reiner, a Los Angeles Police Department Officer and his wife, survivors and concertgoers of the October 1, 2017 mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada; and Dr. Judea Pearl, father of the slain Wall Street Journal journalist, Daniel Pearl, who will speak about the death of his son at the hands of terrorists in Pakistan and a global music day in his son's memory.

Nearly eleven hundred people filled Beverly Hills Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre on Friday evening, June 13, 2014 for an International Evening of Music and Remembrance honoring Holocaust survivor and member of the Dutch Resistance, Curt Lowens, who saved 125 Jewish children and two downed American pilots during the Holocaust. Composer Sharon Farber's Bestemming: Concerto for Cello, Orchestra and Narration, which Curt Lowens served as the inspiration for, was performed with Lowens appearing as the Narrator, along with Ruslan Biryukov who appeared as the Cello Soloist, supported by the Glendale Philharmonic Orchestra led by Conductor Frank Fetta.

Los Angeles Museum of The Holocaust along with Beverly Hills Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre will proudly present an international program of music and remembrance featuring Emmy Award-nominated composer Sharon Farber's Bestemming: Concerto for Cello, Orchestra and Narration. Conceived as a bridge-builder between cultures, the performance of the concerto will bring together the consul generals of Germany, the Netherlands and the Office of the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles, as well as members of SAG-AFTRA to unite against oppression in support of Holocaust survivors everywhere. Other supportive organizations which will be in attendance include, Jewish World Watch, the Daniel Pearl Foundation and Steinway Gallery of West Hollywood.
