Oregon Children's Theatre presents Skippyjon Jones: A Musical, a premiere and co-commission with Dallas Children's Theater. Based on the book by Judy Schachner and adapted by Linda Daugherty, with music and lyrics by Nick Martin, the production is directed by Stan Foote and will run tonight, January 17-February 15, 2015.

Artists Rep presents the Northwest premiere of The Motherf**ker With the Hat by Stephen Aldy Guirgis, now through March 30. This hard-hitting, comedic play premiered on Broadway in 2011 starring Chris Rock, making his Broadway debut as Ralph D. and was directed by Anna D. Shapiro. Kevin Jones will direct Artists Rep's production starring Victor Mack as Ralph D. The Broadway production was nominated for six Tony Awards, including Outstanding New Broadway Play, and is one of the most produced plays in the country. Check out a first look below!

FLASH READS is a new program at Artists Rep born of the desire to open the theatre and provide a platform for playwrights, companies and artists closely associated with Artists Rep to informally share new scripts with the public. FLASH READS are scheduled on relatively short notice and are presented simply, with just a few hours of rehearsal. The readings provide an opportunity to hear a new work, with the entire focus on the actor and the text. A post-play discussion, moderated by a dramaturg, will follow each and every Flash Reading.
