Photo Flash: First Look at Hubbard Street Dancers
Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton announce three artists joining the organization's 18-member performing company: Emilie Leriche, Andrew Murdock and Bryna Pascoe. “Each is highly accomplished in both classical and contemporary dance,” says Edgerton, “and uniquely suited for Hubbard Street's active repertoire of works by major international choreographers.” All are scheduled to perform during the company's Fall Series, opening Season 36 with new works by Robyn Mineko Williams and Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo, plus repertoire by Mats Ek and Ohad Naharin, October 10–13, 2013 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance.
Hubbard Street Kicks Off DANC(E)VOLVE Festival Today
Responding to popular demand, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago announces the addition of an eighth performance during its danc(e)volve: New Works Festival, today, June 6-16, 2013 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA, 220 East Chicago Avenue in Chicago).
Hubbard Street to Kick Off DANC(E)VOLVE: NEW WORKS FESTIVAL, 6/6
The highly acclaimed contemporary dance companies Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Hubbard Street 2 return to MCA Stage for the second danc(e)volve: New Works Festival. They perform new works created by rising choreographers within the company and former main company member Robyn Mineko Williams. The two-week long festival features seven new works under consideration to become a part of Hubbard Street's active repertoire.
