Nicole Wee Named Director of Playwrights Horizons Theater School
Playwrights Horizons has announced costume designer Nicole Wee as the new Director of Playwrights Horizons Theater School. Wee, who has been a faculty member since 2019 and a member of the Faculty Leadership Committee, and has served as Interim Director since May 2022, will oversee all academic and artistic activities at the School.
New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Launches Theatre and Technology Fellowship
The Billy Rose Theatre Division at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts just announced a call for applications for the inaugural year of our Theatre and Technology Fellowship. This fellowship, supported by a generous gift from Marshall Weinberg, will support a scholar working on a project that examines technologies documented in our collection, or using innovative technologies to study theatre history. The recipient will be expected to be in residence at the library for at least four weeks, but these need not be contiguous.
Bryan Arias Is Awarded 2018-19 Jacob's Pillow Fellowship At Tilles Center For The Performing Arts At LIU Post
Bryan Arias, Artistic Director of ARIAS Company, receives the Jacob's Pillow Fellowship at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post. The fellowship includes a $15,000 grant, a residency at the Pillow Lab, and a residency at LIU Tilles Center. The newly established Fellowship represents a shared vision between the two organizations to broaden resources that allow artists to thrive and bring new work to stages in Massachusetts, New York, and beyond.

Lewis' THE GREAT DIVORCE will be presented at the Capitol Theatre at the Riffe Center, 77 South High Street in Columbus, for three performances only on Friday, April 11 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 12 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. This journey to Heaven and Hell is a provocative exploration of human nature, featuring vivid characters drawn with Lewis' trademark wit.

THE GREAT DIVORCE National Tour will visit cities including Cleveland, Nashville, Colorado Springs and Columbus in 2014.
