Philadelphia Theatre Company Announces Donja R Love As First Winner Of Revived Terrence McNally Award


Philadelphia Theatre Company announced the first winner of the newly revived Terrence McNally Award. The theatre wanted to revive the award and had been in discussion with McNally and his husband, producer Tom Kirdahy, to move forward before McNally passed away due to complications of Covid-19 in March 2020.

Haven Theatre Company announces How We Got On to begin their fourth season, written by Idris Goodwin and directed by Jess McLeod, at the company's new home within the Den Theatre's new Bookspan Theatre, 1335 Milwaukee Ave., September 29 - November 12. Previews are Thursday, Sept. 29 - Saturday, Oct.1 at 8 p.m. Opening night is Sunday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. The regular performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Regular run tickets are $32, senior tickets are $20 and college/industry tickets are $15 (preview tickets are $12). WINTER GAMES, POOR SHEM & SOME PREPARED REMARKS Set for 38th Humana Festival of New American Plays


Actors Theatre of Louisville Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein have announced the three ten-minute plays chosen to premiere during the 38th Humana Festival of New American Plays (February 26 - April 6, 2014). This year's ten-minute plays are Winter Games by Rachel Bonds, Some Prepared Remarks (A History in Speech) by Jason Gray Platt and Poor Shem by Gregory Hischak.

SCR to Present World Premiere of FIVE MILE LAKE, 4/13-5/4


SCR announced that it will produce Five Mile Lake by Rachel Bonds on the Julianne Argyros Stage. The new work is an intimate look at life in a small town and is the final world premiere work for the company's 50th Season. The show runs April 13-May 4 and is an anchor production for the 17th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival. It will be directed by Daniella Topol. Tickets are available online: www.scr.org.

The REP's 2012-13 Season to Include AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, ROPE and More


The REP, Point Park University's professional theatre company, will produce four works, including one world premiere and one Pittsburgh premiere, in the 2012 - 2013 season, which opens Sept. 7, 2012 and runs through April 6, 2013 at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.
