Recorded in Nashville with his longtime band The Fabulous Superlatives – Kenny Vaughan, Harry Stinson and Chris Scruggs – the collection finds Stuart picking up where he left off on 2017’s Way Out West, exploring a cosmic country landscape populated by dreamers and drifters, misfits and angels, honky-tonk heroes and lonesome lovers.

Produced by Sarona and Jerry Brown, the album features Andrew Marlin (Mandolin Orange, Watchhouse), Libby Rodenbough (Mipso), Sarah McCombie (Chatham Rabbits) and Lizzy Ross (Violet Bell) on harmonies, as well as Hank Smith on banjo, Marcel Ardans on guitar, Alex Bingham on bass, and Jason Cecil on percussion.

'Always...Patsy Cline' brings to life Cline's rich catalog of songs, impeccably portrayed by Michele McRae, with Kathleen Silverman as her friend, Houston housewife Louise Seger.

Last week Wynonna & The Big Noise teamed up with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead for an exciting show at the legendary San Francisco venue The Fillmore. During the set they covered many classic tracks by both acts, including “Why Not Me” by The Judd's and “Ramble On Rose” by the Dead. “Well OK, this is a train that's been steamin' down the tracks for a while now - and it finally got here. What fun,” said Bob Weir of their set.

Rex Allen - America's Last Singing Cowboy is the latest release by Country Rewind Records and the first in a new series, referred to as the Western Heritage Series which will also feature The Son's of the Pioneers and Tex Ritter. Rex Allen was a multimedia star before the term 'multimedia' was coined. He found fame as a singer, a song- writer, a Western movie star, a television actor and (in later life) as a narrator of Disney movies and TV shows. The Country Music Association held a press conference this morning to announce the 2018 inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame-Johnny Gimble, Ricky Skaggs and Dottie West.

The Bellamy Brothers continue “letting the love flow” all over the globe as the iconic duo prepares for the second leg of their 2017 world tour, which includes multiple stops in Norway, as well as Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In early 2017, they made history as the first country music duo to perform in Dubai.

Last Saturday night at the Rose Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center presented a celebration on what would have been Ray Charles' 85th Birthday. The program was led by Musical Director and trumpeter Kenny Rampton (who once toured with the Ray Charles band), and included 10 longtime members of the icon's orchestra, along with the most recent “Rayettes” (backup singers Renee Georges, Katrina Harper, and Angela Workman). “Ray Charles Robinson, the genius of soul, his music was beyond genre,” Rampton told the audience. “Anything Mr. C. did from country to blues to the National Anthem was all Ray Charles . . .'

Four recent shows at Don't Tell Mama featured performers either making their debuts on the New York cabaret scene (Evelyn Sullivan and Erin McCracken) or who returned this spring in hopeful anticipation of sharing their artistic vision with audiences (Rob Sutton and Eve Eaton). They no doubt experienced the usual anxiety, trials and tribulations before ultimately taking the stage. And they've come out on the other side relatively unscathed.

On Friday, May 9th the Wagon Wheel Theatre hosts three of country music's hit makers. In fact, Aaron Tippin, Collin Raye, and the Kentucky Headhunters collectively charted over 100 Billboard Hot Country Songs, including seven number one hits and multiple Grammy and ACM awards. The event is called “An Acoustic Evening with Aaron Tippin, Collin Raye, and The Kentucky Headhunters” and all three will perform two shows, 7pm and 9:30pm.
