LOVE AND SPUMONI Has World Premiere At Seven Angels Theatre


Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury Connecticut has announced the World Premiere of Love and Spumoni that will be running from January 30-February 23. The equity production play has many local ties to the area including actor Maria Baratta and Marissa Follo Perry who are originally from Waterbury, the story itself is based on students at Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury, playwright Jacques Lamarre is from Connecticut, Mary Lou Piland who wrote the novel is also originally from Waterbury and actor Danté Jeanfelix is a Connecticut native. Directing will be Sasha Bratt.

On Monday, January 27th the Broadway's Future Songbook series at Lincoln Center, presented by Arts and Artists of Tomorrow showcased the music and lyrics of Ben Caplan. Gillespie (NBC's Rise), Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin, Hamilton), Danté Jeanfelix (Balls), Taylor Iman Jones (Head Over Heels), Charlotte Maltby (The Sound of Music), Michael Ryan (Newsies), Monet Sabel (Sweeney Todd), Heath Saunders (The Great Comet), Ben Schrager (Ms. Estrada), Ari McKay Willford (Once), and Brynn Williams (SpongeBob SquarePants).

Fernando Contreras, Dante Jeanfelix, Roi King, and More Will Lead Pipeline Theatre Company's PLAYING HOT


Pipeline Theatre Company has announced full casting for the world premiere of jazz concert-party-play hybrid Playing Hot, created by Kevin Armento (Balls) and Jaki Bradley (1969: The Second Man). Playing Hot is written by Armento and C.A. Johnson (Thirst), will be directed by Bradley, and will feature musical supervision by Marcus Miller. Playing Hot will begin previews at Theater 511 (511 West 54th Street) on April 18, 2019, and officially open on May 2, playing a limited engagement through May 12, 2019. Tickets are on sale now and are available at www.pipelinetheatre.org/tickets.
