As BroadwayWorld previously reported, stage and screen star, Valerie Harper, passed away following a decade-long battle with cancer. She was 80 years old. Today BroadwayWorld remembers Harper with a look back into our archives.

Actress Valerie Harper appeared on THE TALK today, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 to discuss her recent diagnosis with terminal brain cancer (2:00 PM, ET / 1:00 PM, PT/CT) on the CBS Television Network. Her appearance represented a 'coming home' as Harper filmed her show 'Rhoda' on Stage 16, the same sound stage currently occupied by THE TALK on the CBS Radford Lot. The hosts presented Harper with a special bronze plaque to be permanently placed on the outside of the stage in honor of her work.

Valerie Harper stars as Tallulah Bankhead in Matthew Lombardo's new comedy LOOPED, directed by Rob Ruggiero, is playing at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). LOOPED opened last night, Sunday, March 14 and BroadwayWorld.com was there!
