(New York, October 14, 2015)—The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today that The Costume Institute's spring 2016 exhibition will be manus x machina: fashion in an age of technology, on view from May 5 through August 14, 2016(preceded on May 2 by The Costume Institute Benefit).  Presented in the Museum's Robert Lehman Wing and Anna Wintour Costume Center, the exhibition will explore the impact of new technology on fashion and how designers are reconciling the handmade and the machine-made in the creation of haute couture and avant-garde ready-to-wear.

The British Fashion Council announced the winners of the British Fashion Awards 2013. Plans were announced to expand Nordstrom's partnership with TOPSHOP and TOPMAN by adding 28 TOPSHOP departments and 8 TOPMAN departments across the country starting in late September 2013. The expansion will bring the total number of Nordstrom stores with TOPSHOP and TOPMAN to 42 and 18 respectively. In addition, Nordstrom plans a completely refreshed design for TOPSHOP and TOPMAN departments in new and existing stores.

Iconic British high street fashion brand TOPSHOP will open its first store in Greater China on June 6th, 2013.

The spring 2013 exhibition organized by The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be PUNK: Chaos to Couture. The exhibition, on view from May 9 through August 14, 2013 (preceded on May 6 by The Costume Institute Benefit), will examine punk's impact on high fashion from the movement's birth in the 1970s through its continuing influence today.
