The Encore Musical Theatre Company kicks off a month of joyful seasonal events with MERRY & BRIGHT, a delightful holiday concert starring Broadway's GEOFF AND CHELSEA PACKARD. In what promises to be a fun and festive evening, this talented couple will perform many holiday favorites, such as It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, O Holy Night and Winter Wonderland.
Since 2009, Broadway South Africa has conducted empowerment through the arts programming in disadvantaged communities throughout South Africa. The organization has raised close to $500,000, helping to improve the lives and future's of student's dramatically affected by poverty, violence, abuse, and HIV/AIDS.
Tune-in to "The Newlywed Game" tomorrow, November 8 at 9pm ET on GSN to see a special themed Broadway episode featuring couples who have been in major Broadway hits including Wicked, Rent, and The Lion King. The three couples have proven their skills on stage, but will it be curtains for them on "The Newlywed Game?" Dancing With The Stars finalist and N'SYNC star Lance Bass, theater producer and last years' honoree Michel Butler and New York Yankees pitcher David Robertson will be featured guests at tonight's fourth annual Broadway in South Africa gala. Tonight's event will feature Broadway artists and Broadway in South Africa (BSA) students from South Africa sharing the stage to present and perform world-premiere songs written my many of New York's most talented songwriters and composers. For tonight's show, held the Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom, located at 311 West 34th Street, general admission tickets are now selling for $25, and can be purchased at the door, or by visiting www.broadwayinsouthafrica.org. The American Songbook Project will launch a new program called 'The Art of Song Performance,' a workshop on July 10th-15th, 2011, in New York City. Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director) is proud to announce casting for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Directed by Mark Waldrop, with choreography by Vince Pesce, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will run at the Millburn theater from March 16 through April 10, 2011. Family Week is March 16 to March 20 and during this period, children 18 and under receive half off the regular ticket price (certain restrictions apply). A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is generously supported by a grant from The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum was selected by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as part of the American Masterpieces Series in New Jersey. American Masterpieces is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts.

Renowned actress/singer Kristin Chenoweth upheld her 'Popular' -ity on New Year's Eve @ the Walt Disney Pavilion by giving her audiences, who regail her for TV's The West Wing, Pushing Daisies and Glee, what they want most: namely, a large dose and a half of her glowing charisma. The petite and pretty talent has a gorgeous soprano voice which she displayed most effectively and a great sense of comedic humor which was also put to good use throughout the varied 90-minute set.
