Premieres has announced the cast and creative teams for this season's Inner Voices, the biennial series of solo works featuring new teams of playwrights and composers. Performances begin on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 8:00pm for a limited run through Saturday, November 17, 2018 at The TBG Mainstage Theatre (312 West 36th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues).

Martyrs, written by Romana Soutus and developed with and directed by Pirronne Yousefzadeh, will premiere at The Downstairs at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, April 19 - May 6, Thursday to Saturday at 7 PM, Sunday at 2 PM. A devised ensemble piece performed by a female cast of nine, Martyrs dives into the dynamics of martyrdom, sainthood, self-worth, and desire.

Bruce Willis (Moonlighting, Die Hard, Misery on Broadway) and The Burgess Group present the limited engagement Off-Broadway run of MUST, a compelling new play about Billy the Kid and Pat Garret written by Charles Cissel and directed by Gabriel Vega Weissman, running now through November 19th at The Theater at St. Clements (423 W 46th St). The Off-Broadway premiere of a new version of Joe Pintauro's classic drama SNOW ORCHID at the Lion Theatre on Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd St.), presented by the Miranda Theatre Company and directed by Valentina Fratti, plays a limited engagement through February 28. The cast, featuring Robert Cuccioli and Angelina Fiordellis were recently visited by Laverne Cox and Joy Behard - check out photos below!

'Kafka's Quest, a.k.a. Kafka/Samsa' is a quasi-realistic play by the late playwright Lu Hauser that imagines the family life of Gregor Samsa, the tragic victim of Kafka's 'Metamorphosis,' and his friendship with an historic Yiddish Theater actor and actress in Prague, prior to the events of the famed novella. Set in Prague in 1912, it portrays Gregor Samsa (the name Kafka personified himself with in the book) as torn between his father, who wants to keep him on the straight and narrow with a full time job, and his friendship with artists of the Yiddish Theater, who want him to join and write for them. His father's bankruptcy forces Gregor to become the breadwinner of the family, which has been forced to take in two mysterious lodgers to make ends meet. The back and forth between the two poles of Gregor's life will culminate in 'The Metamorphosis.' Theater for the New City will present the play's world premiere February 26 to March 15, directed by Manfred Bormann.
