New Jersey Theatre Alliance Renews and Expands Partnership with New Jersey State Council on the Arts


New Jersey Theatre Alliance (“The Alliance”) has announced the renewed and expanded partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (“The Arts Council”) to provide general services and support to its member theatres.

Full Line-up of Virtual ACCESS THURSDAYS Announced by the Cultural Access Network Project


The Cultural Access Network Project, a project of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and New Jersey Theatre Alliance, has announced the 2021 Line up of “Access Thursdays,” an annual spring series of monthly educational opportunities for the arts and culture field.

Statewide Online Calendar of Accessible Arts Programming Launched by New Jersey Theatre Alliance 


The Cultural Access Network Project, a  program of New Jersey Theatre Alliance and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts is pleased to announce the launch of the Cultural Access Calendar, an online portal that allows the public to find cultural events, including virtual and online events, with specific accommodations such as open captioning, ASL interpretation, and sensory-friendly adjustments. The calendar will be searchable by specific accommodation and will feature a wide variety of offerings from the state's theatre, visual art, dance, music, and museum community.

Broadway's Shubert Organization is the recipient of the 2018 National Access Award from The Hearing Loss Association of America.

Broadway Theaters Begin Rollout of New Access Technology


The Broadway League is coordinating efforts of its New York members who are in the process of introducing new technology to provide an improved theatergoing experience for audience members who are deaf, or who experience hearing or vision loss. These new services, in addition to currently available assistive listening devices, are provided to theatergoers free of charge.
