Raue Center For The Arts is excited to announce two performances of the heartwarming tragedy 'MUD' at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on May 6, 2017. A provocative play by Cuban-born playwright Maria Irene Fornes, 'MUD' deals with themes of illiteracy, poverty and hunger.

Joining in the opening night festivities for The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at The Ellen Stewart Theatre at La MaMa (66 East 4th Street): Ellen Burstyn, Co-President of the Actors Studio; Carla Hoke-Miller, Director of Theatrical Partnerships for the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment; Ruben Blades; Lee Grant; Michael Aranov (OSLO); Valda Setterfield; Patricia Bosworth; Margaret Colin; and many others. This limited Off-Broadway engagement continues through March 26th.   The Last Days of Judas Iscariot is enjoying an extended run at La Mama after being developed at the Actors Studio as part of the Theater & Social Justice program, using Actors Studio members.

The Actors Studio's 70th Season will kick off with a revival of Harold Pinter's acclaimed drama Old Times, playing a limited engagement opening tonight, September 30th, and continuing through October 16th only. The Actors Studio has announced that the 70th Season will kick off with a revival of Harold Pinter's acclaimed drama Old Times for a limited engagement of twenty performances only, beginning September 22nd and continuing through October 16th.

Connecticut has almost an embarrassment of riches when it comes to seasoned performers who settle here while still finding opportunities to act close to home as well as in New York and Hollywood. One of our favorite couples is Beau and Debbie Gravitte (nee Shapiro), who add so much professionally to venues such as The Ridgefield Playhouse. If you are not from Connecticut, you ought to understand that The Ridgefield Playhouse is one of those places that are very special to performers as well as audiences. It is not a glorified school auditorium, but a professional venue with seating up to 500 people for film, theatre, and concerts with appearances from nationally popular, award winning performers and directors. The Gravittes' unwavering commitment to the playhouse and to the Ridgefield area is remarkable.

It's a special premiere event!  The ACTORS STUDIO will debut the new production of Harold Pinter's Old Times at The Ridgefield Playhouse before it heads to NYC for its Broadway run September 22 - October 15! 

 The famed ACTORS STUDIO comes to Ridgefield! Audience members will be treated to a "sneak peek" of this legendary acting troupes production of Old Times before it heads to NYC!  This is truly a unique collaboration between The Ridgefield Playhouse and the world-famous ACTORS STUDIO where theatre fans get to attend the premiere production of work developed during a two week intensive workshop here in Ridgefield. 

The New York 'IT' Awards (sponsored by Backstage) takes place September 19th at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.
