Early this morning, BroadwayWorld reported that the MACK AND MABEL tour cancelled a performance due to the death of actor Alex Giannini. Giannini died from natural causes on Friday, Oct. 2. He was 52.

Mack and Mabel, starring Michael Ball, cancelled its second performance at the Theatre Royal Plymouth due to what a spokesman called 'a company bereavement'.

MACK & MABEL, currently playing Chichester Festival Theatre before heading out on a UK & Ireland Tour this autumn, is transferring to the West End later this year. And, according to the New York Post, if the musical -- starring Michael Ball and Rebecca LaChance -- does well in London, it could be moving to Broadway next season.
