Soul Sacrifice is a world premiere play written by Consuelo G. Flores and directed by Kenneth Castillo, set in the East Los Angeles home of nine-year-old Connie whose family fractures beneath the weight of war, activism, and grief after her brother Luie is drafted to fight in Vietnam. The cast includes Carlos Pratts, Myrna Velasco, Karla Ojeda, Martín Morales, Itzel Ocampo, and David Flores. Based on the playwright's real life, the play examines how the Vietnam War and protests against it affected one Mexican American family in 1970. The production deals with mature themes related to war and is not suitable for children under 13.
