Silver Foxes at Amsterdams Theaterhuis

Silver Foxes is a comedy by James Berg and Stan Zimmerman, whose television credits include The Golden Girls, Roseanne, and Gilmore Girls, receiving its European premiere in Amsterdam. Set in a mid-century Palm Springs home, the play follows Chuck and Benny, two gay men in their sixties and former partners, who rally their chosen family around their oldest friend Cecil after he is forced back into the closet upon moving into a homophobic retirement community. The production explores themes of friendship, ageing, love, identity, and chosen family while celebrating LGBTQ+ lives. Directed by Rae Gerritsen, the run coincides with WorldPride in Amsterdam, and playwright Stan Zimmerman will host post-show Q&A sessions on 31 July and 1 August.
