Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) opens its 65th season with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, in weekend performances from September 9 through October 2.

A new and shocking version of Robert Louis Stevenson's tale by renowned local playwright Jeffrey Hatcher. On the fog-bound streets of Victorian London, Dr. Henry Jekyll's experiments have brought forth his dark side - the villain Edward Hyde.

In Hatcher's dramatic adaptation, one actor plays Jekyll while others portray the good doctor's hidden faces of brutality, cruelty, and lust. George M. Roesler directs the 8-member cast headed by Clint Allen as Dr. Jekyll. Sets are designed by Eric Kiekhaefer, costumes by Rebecca Karstad, lighting by Mark Kieffer, and music composed by Donald Sweet.

An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, September 25. Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
