To get noticed as a writer, you need a great script. In a clearly defined step-by-step process, BRIFT instructor Shawn Fornari, M.F.A., will teach students how to write a script for film and television use. The course is designed to jumpstart the imagination -- which is often needed by both the beginner and the experienced writer.

Using a newly developed technique, Fornari will take his students on a ten-week journey into creativity. Once the outline for each student’s script has been determined, they will learn how to brainstorm story ideas, structure an outline, develop their characters and write scenes with dialogue -- all in a constructive, supportive workshop atmosphere.

Class size is limited to 10 students, which will allow for plenty of individual attention. This course is designed to make students better writers and to prepare them to take on your first professional writing job or sell their first script. Everyone has a story to tell. Learn to tell it well at BRIFT!

For more information or to register for the course, contact briftfinancedirector@comcast.net or call 561 385-1584. Cost: $20/week. Limited enrollment.

The Burt Reynolds Institute is located at 100 North U.S. Highway One, Jupiter, Florida, at the corner of Indiantown Road and U.S. Highway One (across from Chili’s Restaurant).
