Photo Flash: A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD Now On Stage At Orlando REP
Orlando Repertory Theatre (Orlando REP) is proud to A Year With Frog and Toad(September 4 - 30, 2018). This production is presented by Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs, and Disney. Orlando REP's 2018 - 2019 season is sponsored by Florida Hospital for Children.
Celebrating the values of enduring friendship, this Tony Award-nominated musical follows Frog and Toad through four fun-filled seasons. Along with their forest friends, the pals learn life lessons through swimming, raking leaves, sledding, and more. Based on the beloved books by Arnold Lobel, this jubilant musical celebrates kindness, imagination, differences, and the power of friendship. With catchy songs and vivid characters, this show is perfect for the whole family!
"For generations, Arnold Lobel's stories of the bonds of friendship between a confident, adventurous Frog and an anxious, bumbling Toad have delighted young readers," says director Tara Kromer. "The bond shared by Frog and Toad is never clouded by judgment - even in moments when Toad spirals into excessive worry, Frog accepts his angst as part of his personality and provides reassurance and support. In today's world, the message of exercising empathy and acceptance is more important than ever. We hope that our audiences will be reminded of the importance of caring for one another, and that great power lies in our capacity to practice kindness."
