Orlando Rep Announces Youth Summer Academy 2010, 6/14-8/20
Orlando Rep has announced its Youth Summer Academy shedule for 2010. The Youth Academy's camps and productions are designed to foster self-confidence, creative thinking, problem-solving skills, collaboration, trust and discipline through the medium of the performing arts. For more than 40 years, the theatre has provided thousands of children in Central Florida with professional and stimulating performing arts experiences. The majority of camps take place at the theatre's three stage facility in Orlando's Loch Haven Park, which also includes classrooms and rehearsAl Halls. All camps conclude with a showcase or "shareformance" on the final day to which family and friends are cordially invited. All camps and productions of the Youth Academy incorporate National Standards for Theatre Education and Florida Sunshine State Standards.
Students are encouraged to bring a non-perishable snack and lunch to camp. Students may be dropped off for camps at 8:45 am and picked up no later than 15 minutes after the conclusion of camp. Extended day is available in the afternoon.

Orlando Rep is also pleased to announce Kinderdrama Theatre Classes for Families. These dynamic classes are designed for parents and children to enjoy together. The classes focus on social and artistic development through creativity, vocalization and movement through stories, nursery rhymes, improvisations and theatre games.
Adventures with Little Einsteins
Dates: June 28 - July 2 | Time: 10am - 12pm
Grades: Pre-K - entering Kindergarten | Tuition: $110.00
Embark on an exciting, fun, problem-solving quest with the globe trotting adventurers from Little Einsteins: Leo, June, Quincy and Annie.
Mo Willems' Knuffle Bunny and More
Dates: July 19 - 23 | Time: 10am - 12pm
Grades: Pre-K - entering Kindergarten | Tuition: $110.00
Creative play revolves around the award-winning books by Mo Willems, including "Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale," "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive the Bus!," and the "Elephant and Piggie" series. Children participating in the camp will receive complimentary admission to "Knuffle Funny: The Art and Whimsy of Mo Williams" at the Orlando Museum of Art.
