Mad Cow Announces Extra Date for HEDDA GABLER, 3/21
Mad Cow Theatre is pleased to announce one additional performance of Henrik Ibesen's Hedda Gabler, playing through March 25 in its intimate Stage Right. The additional performance will be on Wednesday, March 21 at 8:00 PM.
Henrik Ibsen's explosive theatrical masterpiece of sex and power, Hedda Gabler takes place in Norway during the mid-nineteenth century, when the country was in the midst of great change brought about by the development of railroads, the growth of cities and the increasing stratification of the classes. Within this societal framework, Ibsen places the newly married Hedda-bound by the duties of marriage and the limits of being a woman. Her desire to shape a human destiny seethes at the epicenter of Ibsen's famous play.
Hedda Gabler is directed by Eric Zivot, with Melanie Whipple playing Hedda. The cast includes Sara Humbert as Berta, Emily Killian as Mrs. Elvsted, Mark Lainer as Judge Brack, Steven Lane as Eilert Lovborg, Robb Ross as George Tesman and Mikki Kriekard as Julia Tesman.
