Florida Theatrical Association (FTA) and Generation Productions announce a new partnership with PerformerStuff.com, which has launched this week the site's new audition casting feature for future productions.

PerformerStuff.com currently allows artists and performers to create profiles and build resumes online; the site has now completed a platform to allow theater companies to complete the entire casting process directly on one site, from audition postings through final cast lists. The platform also lets the actor select their own audition time slot, change said slot if necessary, and they will be given a link to a list of all sides and musical numbers for the audition.

"The potential of this type of interface is a game changer for casting, and a win/win for both the show's team and the artists," said Kenny Howard, FTA Education Director and Artistic Director for The Abbey. "It will allow performers to easily upload headshots and video submissions, and save valuable time that casting directors currently spend gathering information via email and then transferring it to casting programs."

"I believe this platform will not only catch on for the majority of theater programs in Central Florida, but extend far beyond our region," said Aaron Safer, President of Generation Productions. "We are currently using this for the upcoming production of First Date at The Abbey, and we will exclusively utilize PerformerStuff.com for upcoming partnerships with FTA. We encourage actors, dancers, and musicians to visit the site and begin setting up their profiles."

"We are thrilled to be able to test-drive this feature with two companies that have continuously put forth great local productions," said Joyce Arbucias, founder and creator of Performerstuff.com. "By testing our casting feature with people and companies in our own community, we'll be able to easily receive feedback and adjust as we grow this platform and expand our reach."
