Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF is proud to announce its prestigious 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the largest and most-utilized independent evaluator of charities in the nation. The rating makes Orlando Shakespeare Theater the only professional, non-profit theater in Florida to receive such esteemed recognition.
By evaluating a charity's financial health, Charity Navigator calculates a score using a broad spectrum of factors, including the organization's long-term financial health. Based on Charity Navigator's core criteria, Orlando Shakes received high marks in multiple categories. With an overall score of 86%, the Theater outscored Milwaukee Repertory Theater, California Shakespeare Theater, and The Goodman Theatre.
"The staff and Board of Directors at Orlando Shakes strive to offer the highest level of artistic quality to our patrons while maintaining fiscal responsibility," said Managing Director PJ Albert. "It is an honor to be recognized by receiving Charity Navigator's highest rating."
Charity Navigator strives to assist charitable givers in making intelligent donations by providing them with information on more than five thousand charities across the nation. It then assigns a rating from one to four, with four being the best rating. Charity Navigator's approach is driven by two objectives: helping givers and celebrating the work of charities.
