Get ready for movie night at the Symphony! On November 4th, the Brevard Symphony Orchestra will present Charlie Chaplin's City Lights at the King Center For The Performing Arts in Melbourne. Under the baton of Maestro Christopher Confessore, the BSO will perform the entire score live as Chaplin's 1931 romantic comedy City Lights is shown on screen above the Orchestra.

"This is the first time in Brevard County that a full-length feature film will be shown with live orchestral accompaniment and we couldn't be more excited," states BSO Music Director and Principal Conductor Chris Confessore, "Chaplin himself wrote the music to this film. It is an absolute work of art in every way and is widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made!"

In 2007, the American Film Institute ranked City Lights 11th on its list of the Best American Films Ever Made. A true cinematic masterpiece, City Lights was written and directed by Charlie Chaplin, who also stars in the film.

As a special treat, the BSO will offer guests complimentary popcorn in the main lobby prior to the performance. Guests are also encouraged to dress in their best dapper styles, Old Hollywood glamour looks, or Steampunk attire.

Show begins at 8:00pm at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne. Guests are also invited to join Maestro Confessore before the performance for Concert Conversations with Christopher Confessore. This fun, insightful, interactive chat begins approximately 40 minutes before the performance. For tickets, call the King Center Box Office at (321) 242-2219 or purchase online at www.brevardsymphony.com.

This concert is proudly sponsored by Rich & Sue Weber
