By:

The Brevard Symphony Orchestra kicks off the 60th Anniversary Season with the return Cirque de la Symphonie, LIVE at the King Center for the Performing Arts, tonight, October 5, 2013, at 2:00pm and 8:00pm. Back by popular demand, the magic of Cirque returns to enchant and mesmerize audiences with dazzling aerialists, dynamic feats of strength, and much, much more...as your BSO performs the music you know and love. Musical highlights include a performance of the Overture to The Mikado - the very first piece performed by the BSO 60 years ago - along with music by Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Bizet, Dvorak, Williams, Shostakovich and many more.

Tickets for these performances are available online at www.BrevardSymphony.com. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the King Center Box Office at (321) 242-2219.

Following the performance, patrons are invited to attend Champagne, Chocolate & Cirque! Guests will enjoy special, exclusive, performances by Cirque performers while sipping champagne and indulging in delicious chocolate delights. Cost is $25 per person. Tickets for this BSO fundraising event can be purchased through the BSO Office at (321) 242-2024 or online on www.BrevardSymphony.com.

Season tickets are now available, offering up to 40-50% off regular single ticket prices with a wide variety of concert packages. Full-time teachers and students save even more on subscriptions and single tickets in areas two and three. Groups of 20 or more can save 20% off individual tickets.

Brevard County students in grade 4-12 are invited to join the BSO Kids! Concert Club. Membership is FREE for all students in Brevard County. Benefits include $6 symphony tickets for members and one guest to any BSO subscription concert; BSO t-shirt; and a special invitation from Maestro Confessore to attend open rehearsals of the Brevard Symphony Orchestra at the King Center during the 2013-2014 season.

Five-day advance ticket promotions for $20 tickets are available online and include exclusive offers at area restaurants, hotels and other area retailers. By presenting valid BSO concert tickets at participating locations, BSO patrons will receive discounts on dinner, overnight stays, and more throughout the 2013/14 subscription concert season.

This concert is sponsored by Dr. & Mrs. Richard Weber.
