BWW Reviews: Enter the Whimsical Story of Dr. Seuss's THE CAT IN THE HAT
By: Kimberly Moy
For a good time, almost all in rhyme,
Watch THE CAT IN THE HAT and bring the kids with that.
The Orlando Rep does not miss a step;
With this production it ensures Seuss's function.
With the talented cast, the kids will have a blast.
And before the show, even make a hat!
Now that's enough of that.
Family friendly theater is the goal of Orlando Repertory Theater and what better way to celebrate this goal, than the cross-generational story of Dr. Seuss's THE CAT IN THE HAT. In true Dr. Seuss fashion, the story is told almost entire in rhyme. But it is the action that brings this story to life.
The kids will delight with the crazy antics of the Cat who run Sally and Boy amok while mother is out. Young and young-at-heart audience members were rolling in their seats as the Cat's and his crazy sidekicks, Thing 1 and Thing 2, wreck the house. The cast is a great set of character actors, whose energy is relentless throughout this 45-minute production.Photo Credit: Orlando Repertory Theatre
