It is hard to believe that I have been living, working, and playing in Walt Disney World for two whole months! It's definitely true when people say "Time flies when you're having fun." I know first hand how much fun can be had while participating in the Disney College Program, but I'd like to talk about the less fun parts of it.

My family visited a few weeks ago, and I was so blessed to spend the entire week with them. That being said, I had to work family time around work time, asking them to take me to my work locations, while figuring out when they would be see me perform. It was not as hard as I thought it would be, but if I could've done it differently, I would have made sure to have shorter hours, to possibly have more time with my mom and dad. The best part of the trip was knowing that they had the opportunity to see me at work, and that they spent an entire day devoted to Animal Kingdom. I worked at Animal Kingdom when they visited, and although I cannot really describe what happened, I will say it was one of the happiest moments of my life. My parents were so proud to see me doing something I had only dreamed of as a little girl. I knew that in the moment, I had found the ideal job.

Since they have visited, I have been working four to five days a week, but I still try to manage play time on my off days. Sometimes I go to the parks with friends, and sometimes I am comfortable going alone. I have realized though that as important it is to enjoy the parks, it is also important for me to relax and enjoy my down time. I had a small cold when my family came, and that could have been from being around so many people at work, or just adjusting to the weather in Florida. But, now I know that I need to take care of myself first. The parks will be here for another two months, but in order for me to do my job well, my health and wellness are my first priority.

Overall, I cannot wrap my brain around the fact that two months have come and gone in my journey as a Disney cast member. I make memories every single day that will stay with me for years to come. I am excited, nervous, and anxious to see where my Disney career will take me. I hope you will continue with me as I blog about my adventures in Disney World.
