What could possibly go wrong when a group of young performers sets out to present a perfectly respectable one-act play? As it turns out… absolutely everything.
In The One-Act Play Disaster by Don Zolidis, missed cues, misplaced props, forgotten lines, and wildly overconfident actors collide in a fast-paced theatrical meltdown where the show must go on, whether it is ready or not. This clever comedy celebrates the chaos, creativity, and camaraderie that make live theater such an adventure, especially when performed by students discovering the magic of the stage.
Presented by NCP’s Y.A.C.H.T. Club, this production highlights the talent, humor, and teamwork of our young artists as they tackle a play that hilariously mirrors the very real unpredictability of putting on a show.
Join us in the Studio Theater for an evening of laughter, surprises, and a reminder that sometimes the biggest disasters make for the most memorable performances.
If you need a prescription for winter blues, get to the Omaha Community Playhouse and laugh yourself red in the face with THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG. I dare you to not get caught up in its zany, madcap shenanigans. It is two hours of nonstop fun!
