Witness a dramatic tale of love lost and found in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, performed by the Moscow Festival Ballet. Premiered by the Bolshoi Ballet in 1877, Swan Lake tells the tale of Prince Siegfried—on his journey to be united with his love, Odette, a beautiful princess under a spell of an evil sorcerer. Only Siegfried’s love can break the spell which causes Odette to take the form of a swan during the day. This production of Swan Lake has been called “a well danced, excitingly powerful portrayal” by The New York Times. Don’t miss this beloved storybook ballet performed live on stage at the Orpheum!
