The Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will present "Shatner's World," featuring William Shatner in a solo larger-than-life performance at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Jan. 26. Shatner has cultivated a career spanning more than 50 years as an award-winning actor, director, producer, writer, recording artist and horseman.
He is one of Hollywood's most recognizable figures and a major philanthropist. From "Star Trek" to "Boston Legal," Shatner has entertained generations of television viewers. In this humorous one-man show he will recount his phenomenal path from classically trained Shakespearean actor to modern cultural icon.
Tickets may be purchased at the Lied Center Ticket Office, 301 N. 12th St., by phone at 402-472-4747 or online at www.liedcenter.org. Ticket prices start at $48 for adults and $24 dollars for youth.
A pre-show talk, scheduled one half hour before the performance, will be led by Bob Rook, director of Lincoln's TADA Theatre and local entertainment reporter. The talk, free to ticket holders, will be in the Lied Center's Steinhart Room.
This Lied performance is sponsored by RBC Wealth Management: Andrew Benton II, CFP, CIMA, Gary Hoebelheinrich, David O. Spinar, CRPC and Donald E. Spinar, CLU.
