Orpheum and Holland Center Rank in Top 100 Worldwide for Ticket Sales

By:

Omaha Performing Arts is proud to announce that the Orpheum Theater and Holland Performing Arts Center are once again listed among the top theatre venues in the world for the Pollstar Midyear Worldwide Ticket Sales report. The Orpheum Theater was ranked 50th and the Holland Center was ranked 98th for ticket sales among theatres of any size worldwide.

Pollstar is the only trade publication covering the worldwide concert industry. The midyear rankings were based on reports to Pollstar for shows played between January 1, 2015 and June 30, 2015. The results were released in the July 20, 2015 issue.

Both venues moved up in their worldwide rankings. The Orpheum Theater was ranked 52nd and the Holland Center was ranked 143rd in Pollstar's 2014 year-end report. The magazine's year-end rankings were based on worldwide ticket sales for theatre venues of any size for the period between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014.

Omaha Performing Arts owns and operates the Holland Performing Arts Center and manages and maintains the Orpheum Theater - the former, which includes the acoustically acclaimed Kiewit Concert Hall and Scott Recital Hall and the latter, which includes Slosburg Hall, a proscenium theater.

"We're thrilled to see both venues continue to climb in the worldwide rankings for ticket sales. Our continued success can be attributed to the variety of high quality entertainment we present in the Orpheum and the Holland along with the community's tremendous support," Joan Squires, president of Omaha Performing Arts, said. "Audiences have come to expect the very best performers and productions in both venues, and as such, we continually strive to make Omaha a destination for top entertainers and Broadway productions."
