Maya Angelou to Visit Orpheum Theater, 6/9

After standing ovations and sell-outs in cities across the United States and Canada, the Unique Lives Lecture Series presents an inspiring lecture by Maya Angelou at the Orpheum Theater on June 9, 2014. Recipient of over fifty prestigious awards including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Maya Angelou is hailed as one of the greatest speakers of our time. Her words have been a source inspiration, comfort, encouragement and strength for millions of people around the world. Apoet,playwright, producer, director, conductor, actor, best-selling author, social activist and three time Grammy Winner, she claims no single profession and excels at all she undertakes.

Dr.Angelou will share insight and details of her life's journey, followed by an intimate audience Q&A. She will be joined by special musical guests - Salem Baptist Ensemble.
