Rhythms of two South African dance traditions come to Omaha's Holland Performing Arts Center Sunday November 5, when Omaha Performing Arts Presents Festival of South African Dance live on stage. The performance is sponsored by Conagra Brands Foundation.

Tickets for the 7:00 PM presentation start at $15. Tickets are now on sale at TicketOmaha.com, in person at the Ticket Omaha Box Office located inside the Holland Performing Arts Center, 1200 Douglas Street or by calling 402.345-0606. Discounts are available to groups of 10 or more.

The distinct styles of South African dance traditions are born from perseverance of the human spirit showcased by two ensembles, Real Actions Pantsula, and Stimela "The Gumboot" Musical, featuring more than 20 dancers and musicians. Both groups unite and tell a story as they entertain and follow in their historical tradition of spreading awareness of socioeconomic and political challenges. The dances have become important to restore, revitalize and preserve South African Culture.

Festival of South African Dance is filled with high-energy performances marked by rhythmic stomping and songs and fast-paced footwork. It is a must-see performance.
