Broadway Dreams Foundation Holds More Auditions 3/20
A second set of auditions for the acclaimed BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION (BDF) Summer Intensive in partnership with Omaha Performing Arts will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Cassling Education Center at the Holland Performing Arts Center at 13th & Douglas streets.
Auditions to participate in the weeklong Summer Intensive workshop are free of charge and open to the public. Another set of auditions will be held June 4 and 5. Dance performers should bring dance shoes and attire; vocal performers will need to be prepared to sing 16 - 32 bars of a song and should provide their own accompaniment CD. To register for an audition, please visit www.mybroadwaydreams.com or send an email to auditions@mybroadwaydreams.com.For the second year, dreams will come true this summer for Omahans of all ages when Omaha Performing Arts partners with THE BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION to present the weeklong Summer Intensive at the Holland Performing Arts Center Monday, July 11 through Sunday, July 17, 2011 and culminating in a performance on Saturday evening, July 16 at 8:00 p.m. in the Peter Kiewit Concert Hall at the Holland Center.
On Saturday, March 19, 2011, Omaha Performing Arts and THE BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION will hold "Triple Threat Extreme" from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. also in the Cassling Education Center at the Holland Performing Arts Center. The "Triple Threat Extreme" is a unique workshop where participants learn what it takes to make it as a professional singer, dancer and actor, honing their skills while learning from Broadway professionals. The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) is a non-profit organization founded to bring talented individuals closer to realizing the Broadway dream. It is the premiere performing arts training program in the country with a faculty made up of today's biggest Broadway stars, casting directors, choreographers and agents dedicated to giving back to the theatrical community.
