BLUEBARN Theatre Hosts 'Giving HeARTs Tree' for Seventh Year

The BLUEBARN Theatre partnered with the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging for the seventh consecutive year during its recent holiday production EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD (AND THEN SOME!).

Each December since 2007, the BLUEBARN Theatre has set up its Giving HeARTs Tree in the lobby, decorated with ornaments bearing the names of ENOA's elderly clients. Audience members have the opportunity to purchase an ornament for $20, which BLUEBARN converts to a gift card for an elder in need.

This year, the BLUEBARN was able to donate an all time high of $5,500 in gift cards to ENOA, thanks to the generosity of its patrons. This exceeds BLUEBARN's goal by over $1,000. For many of ENOA's elders, this was the only gift that they received this holiday season.
