Ximer at American Theatre of Actors -John Collum Theatre

Producers John Lant and Markus Ferraro in association with Write Act Repertory present "XIMER" (shimmer) A look through the lens of historical moments within the LGBTQ+ past tragedies and how they inspire revenge. The production will be in-person in compliance with Covid Safety protocols, TBD, based on Federal, State and County regulations. Bradley Fitch comes out to now estranged parents after proposing to James Honeycomb and is immediately kicked out of the home. Bradley's sister, Miss Dixie, takes Bradley into the big city of Spectral. Consumed by the nightlife, Bradleys naivety is taken advantage of and Bradley's murdered in a hate crime. This death awakens the XIMER (shimmer) inside of Miss Dixie and along with it, four ethereal spirits of Dixie's past lives. Armed with this new power, Dixie seeks vengeance for Bradley's murder and soon finds taking matters into her own hands, the only option left. Katie Miller and Carly Wheeler head up a talented ensemble cast as they share the title roles of Miss Dixie/Justice in this all-electronic musical where you will be immersed in a club world. Transporting audiences through key moments in LGBTQ+ history and showing how pain can be wielded for good in the right hands. Though dark and ominous, XIMER is about the light within us all, driving us to stand up for whats right and shows that love will always win in the end. Performers will adapt and respond to the audience at each performance making every show truly unique.
