FRANCIS ASISSY RETURNS TO THE LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATER

TORCH SONG SOLILOQUY

October 7, 2026 • 7:00 PM
The Laurie Beechman Theater • New York City

After a SOLD-OUT debut last February, Francis Asissy returns to the Laurie Beechman Theater for another unforgettable night of Torch Song Soliloquy.

Step into the world of chanteuse Francis Asissy, the larger-than-life drag creation who knows a thing or two about a torch song, a dramatic entrance, and the women who made her the woman she is.

Torch Song Soliloquy is an intimate cabaret celebration of the divas, heroines, and fearless women who shaped Francis's persona. Through powerful musical theater numbers, torch songs, humor, and heartfelt storytelling, Francis explores the women she idolized, the women who inspired her, and the real women in her own life whose strength and spirit echo through every note.

From “Back to Before” to “The Boy Next Door,” Francis takes audiences on a journey that moves effortlessly between musical theater, comedy, confession, and unabashed self-expression. It is part tribute, part autobiography, and completely Francis.

FRANCIS ASISSY Francis Asissy is a chanteuse, drag artist, cabaret performer, and unapologetic devotee of the women who taught her everything she knows about being a woman. Equal parts musical theater obsessive, torch-song romantic, raconteur, and theatrical troublemaker, Francis Asissy brings a distinctly personal brand of glamour, humor, heart, and high drama to the stage. Her solo cabaret, Torch Song Soliloquy, grew from Francis's lifelong fascination with the divas and heroines who shaped her artistic identity. Through musical theater, torch songs, comedy, and storytelling, Francis explores the women she idolized onstage and the real women whose strength, resilience, and spirit helped shape the woman behind the wig. Francis made her solo cabaret debut at The Laurie Beechman Theater in February 2026, where Torch Song Soliloquy played to a sold-out house. NiteLife Exchange called the production “a complete theatrical event” and described Francis as “a terrific performer and well worth seeing again.” Beyond the cabaret stage, Francis is an active member and performer with the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus (NYCGMC) and currently serves as the reigning Royal Queen of the NYCGMC. In that role, she helps champion the chorus's social, community, and fundraising efforts while bringing her particular brand of glamour, humor, and theatricality to the organization. And, as Francis herself would say: it’s always 11 o’clock somewhere.
