The Mutt is a bold and intimate theater experience inspired by The Boys — one of the most moving chapters in Dostoevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov. Through the eyes of an adolescent, the ghost of a friend, and the mysterious presence of a stray dog, this story explores the beauty and contradictions of the human soul. Blending physical theater, powerful choreographic language, and moments of quiet poetry, The Mutt takes audiences on a journey that is heartfelt, haunting, and vividly alive.
The production features a cast of both young and mature American and European actors—artists from different generations and cultures working side by side, offering a fresh perspective on timeless questions. Adapted by Anna Nesterova and brought to life through the collaborative direction of Elena Che and choreography by Gisela Quinteros, The Mutt combines philosophical ambition with theatrical innovation.
