Self Fulfilling Productions will debut Welcome to Eternity, a collection of short plays about the long walk down the aisle, at the 15th Annual New York International Fringe Festival. Matt Saldarelli and Jenn Marcotte, the creators of last year's FringeNYC Encore Series hit, Getting Even with Shakespeare, are the co-founders of Self Fulfilling Productions, an apt name for the actually engaged couple, due to wed this September.

Welcome to Eternity will close August 28, 2011 at Venue #2: CSV Cultural Center's Flamboyan Theatre (107 Suffolk Street).

Set in a New York City apartment, Welcome to Eternity illuminates the inner-workings of one couple's relationship - endearing neuroses and all - as they stumble towards the altar. Featuring superhero in-laws, Catholic trivia and everything in between, this comedic collection of seven short plays proves nothing is off limits when you commit to, you know, forever.

Welcome to Eternity was written by Matt Saldarelli, the scribe behind Getting Even with Shakespeare, for which he received the Overall Excellence in Playwrighting award at the conclusion of FringeNYC 2010. His play Missionary Sundays, part one of the Welcome to Eternity collection, was a semi-finalist in the 17th Annual New York 15 Minute Play Festival presented by the American Globe Theatre this past spring.

With direction by Laura Konsin Shortt, whose credits include Manhattan Repertory Theatre, The 52nd Street Project, Urban Stages and the Ensemble Studio Theater, the Welcome to Eternity cast will feature Fringe veterans Patrick Pizzolorusso (Macbeth in Getting Even with Shakespeare) and Mary Schneider (AK-47 Sing-Along, FringeNYC 2010 Award).

Performance Schedule:
Friday, August 12 at 9:30 pm
Sunday, August 14 at 8:45 pm
Monday, August 15 at 2:00 pm
Saturday, August 20 at 12:00 pm
Thursday, August 25 at 2:00 pm

Advance general admission tickets are $15 and available online, beginning Friday, July 22, at www.fringenyc.org, by phone at 1-866-468-7619 up to 24 hours before the show or in person at FringeCENTRAL.
