The Tank presents MEDITATION ON A THEME: BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY next Wednesday, November 3, at 7:30 pm. All tickets are $10. The Tank is located at 354 W. 45th Street, New York, NY 10036. It is accessible by Subway by taking the A, C, E, to 42nd Street or the 1, 2, 3, S, 7 to Time Square.

MEDITATION ON A THEME is a performance series mediating the balance between words - as they're heard and as they're experienced. Writers, performers, monologists and raconteurs present their take on the evening's theme. Sketch performance meets dramatic monologue. Social satire meets autobiographical confession.

It's an evening of artistic experimentation and stylistic presentation that isn't about comedy, drama or thinking outside the box... It's about destroying the box altogether. The event will be hosted by Robb Leigh Davis.

Founded in 2003, The Tank is a non-profit arts presenter whose mission is to provide a welcoming, creative, collaborative, and affordable environment for artists and activists engaged in the pursuit of new ideas. Through a wide range of low-cost, high-concept arts and public affairs programming, The Tank seeks to cultivate a new generation of audience for live performance, civic discourse, and the work of emerging artists.
