TONY 'N' TINA Adds Performances In Little Italy, Evening Shows Begin 5/21

Tony n' Tina 's Wedding is the original interactive comedy hit where audience members play the roles of "invited guests" at a hilarious wedding ceremony. The evening begins with the nuptials, followed by a rousing reception featuring a full Italian dinner, wedding cake and dancing.

Producers Sonny and Kim Ricciardi believe that combining the long-running show with the atmosphere of Little Italy is the perfect marriage. "We're calling these our Five Star VIP shows," Sonny Ricciardi said. "The food, the atmosphere and the show will be first class all the way."

Il Cortile has received many rave reviews and Fodor's travel guide has called it "easily the best restaurant in Little Italy."

According to Sal Espisito, one of the owners of IL Cortile Restaurant, the restaurant's chef has created a special menu to be served in their beautiful garden for this event. "On May 21, we will begin what we anticipate to be a lasting union between TNT and IL Cortile," Espisito said. "New Yorkers and tourists alike will be able to enjoy a hilarious Off-Broadway show with an authentic Italian meal, making Friday nights at IL Cortile very special."

According to the producers, the food is only one of the reasons they are bringing the Off-Broadway hit to Il Cortile. "From the gardens to the art work, the entire restaurant is a gorgeous setting for the show," Kim Ricciardi said. "Plus, it is very intimate. Every seat is up close and personal."

Since its original New York opening in 1987, Tony n' Tina 's Wedding has garnered many rave reviews. The New York Times called it "Audaciously Imaginative" and syndicated columnist Liz Smith of The New York Post, hailed it as "One of the Most Successful and Imaginative hits in Off-Broadway History!" People Magazine labeled Tony n' Tina's Wedding "A Hit!" while UPI described it as "Hilarious Fun!"
